Leaving on a Vacation...Suddenly!
Just got news!! So, this week has been entirely crazy. Absolutely out of this world...a week where there is both ups and downs. At the beginning of the week, our three year old Labrador dog passed away. He developed cancer unknowingly and we had to put him to sleep on Tuesday morning. Something so horrible and heartbreaking. Because of that, the week started off really rough and hard. However, towards the end of the week, which I'm referring to today, things have lightened up again. My dad called us this morning, and surprisingly said, "Extend your school stuff until the middle of June, we're going to Texas!" Back home y'all!! :) It's crazy, as we only have 5 hours left and we'll be leaving. So, pray for our safety and for a fabulous time. I'll be back...of course! It's unreal because we never just say and go. We'll be going all the way down, almost to Mexico, to visit family; my uncle is graduating and we'll be seeing him as well as a ton of others. Then we'll go to San Antonio, and then to the lovely...HOUSTON!!!!!! :) Alright, all of y'all Texan bloggers...see ya soon! :) Until then...goodbye, and TEXAS HERE WE COME! :D

Y'all have fun over there! I WISH we could get to Houston to see ya... maybe through a miracle???
I don't know if you remember me. I commented a long time ago, about a certain young man I know. I have a question... I've been told that when you go through trials or sufferings or hurt for any reason, God will bring you closer to him and you don't have to suffer in vain. Is that true? What if you bring pain on yourself and on others, and it's your fault? Does he still work through that to make things better in the end?
I'm so confused.

Rosa,
Yes, I do remember you! I prayed for you many times, and am so glad to see that you are still around! :)As for your questions, it is very true. Trials or sufferings do bring us closer to God, it is a proven fact, however it may not always seem so. I do see where you are coming from. You are confused, because it may hurt to go through such discomforts and pains, nevertheless they are often testings from God, just to bring us down and closer to Him. Although, if you choose to refuse such trials, and get into deep depressions, which easily occurs, then that is not for His glory, but quite in vain. I have gone through many trials when I was in my younger teenage years, nevertheless I have to admit that those trials just brought me closer and gave me more strength to endure life, and it also gave me a closer understanding and intimacy with Christ. If you bring such pain on yourself, that I don't understand clearly, nevertheless you can always turn your intentions, and bring the true meaning to the Lord. Oftentimes you may just bring such pain and sorrow on yourself for self-pity, and that will not glorify God, however it will bring you just distress and others anguish. Rosa, I hope you're understanding all of this. It is a bewildering thing, however always remember that we don't suffer in vain, but for the glory and honor of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that you will be blessed dear sister, and that the Lord will be the answer and healing of all your wounds and unanswered questions. Also, keep in mind, that down the road, if you keep Him, the Lord close to heart, you will reap the bountiful and blessed rewards! You may not see it now, but suffering is a way to see His reflection upon us!
In Christ,
Vanessa
