Stand 4 Christ!

Hello all my friends!

Today at church our pastor brought across a very convicting message. You could really feel the Holy Spirit resting upon the place. The message was about not to conform yourselves of this world but to live out for Christ. You will know my friends when you are truly following Christ. Many expect their walk with the Lord to be nice and peaceful, no disruptions, no hardships. Well, think twice, that isn't the case. If it is then you are not really all for CHRIST, some part of you is in the world, and the other is with Christ. My pastor brought a great example across, "Just place God in a box and let me just live my life the way which is 'comfortable' for me!" Oh, and when God gets out of that box we start feeling convicted and get offended because we don't like it. We feel awkward. We want to flow along with this world, thinking, "they do it, it's o.k!" If we want to be reformers, then we can't be conformers! And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)

When I get persecuted from friends, or family I realize it is actually a blessing from God. This is his way of seeing if I'm really serious. And believe me, there has been times where I didn't listen to God and when sin knocks on my door, I did take it. When trials arise we shouldn't be mad, blaming God for it, instead rejoice! My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; James 1:2

I know this sounds easier said than done, but persecutions from others only bring us closer to Christ when we accept it with gladness, and not with hatred and wanting to just go with the flow just because it feels good! Feeling good isn't the answer, we need to walk the way with Christ, and go 100%, not even 99.9%, because that means, just one tiny little percent is not with Christ. He expects our VERY best, and why not give it all to him. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26
If you can answer this question and feel free without any guilt then go ahead and write me a comment. What do you gain from living in the world?

THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION we make in this life is where we’ll spend our eternal life. When we have made that choice, we’re not only prepared to die...we’re finally ready to live!

I've heard some people say that they can win others to Christ better :(
Can't win the world by being like the world; then we have nothing to offer!
I enjoyed reading this post. I had been meditating on the command: Rejoice! There is so much to learn and apply from that one command!
Keep your fire burning!
