Life's Little Instructions from the BIBLE

Here is a quick reminder for today. A few words of wisdom from the best book in the entire world!
Remember that loving words quickly heal.

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

Speak words which will be kind, sweet, and gentle. Don't speak that which is filthy, for a froward tongue is that of the evil one. God wants us to speak kind and righteous words.

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Psalm 34:13

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. Proverbs 12:18

That verse right there (Proverbs 12:18) is so very true. Doesn't it just hurt you when you hear people speak evil, and have filth lying on their tongue. My flesh wants to grab that person and say, "Stop!" But then, I would just shock them so I have to just pray that the Lord will change this person and that the Lord will put wisdom on my tongue so that I can tell this person. I find bad language very hurtful and disgusting!

I know Vanessa! Bad language IS just disgraceful! But unfortunately, I the firstborn, (haha) have a hard time with preaching at my brother and keeping my thoughts ot myself. I really do speak very openly, too openly sometimes!! Ofcourse, not to you, but to my family, probably because I'mjust so used to them. But it is an awful thing, the tongue. What does the Bible say? ''The tongue is set on the fire of hell. '' (can't remember where it's found) but I am trying to control it. That was just what I needed, great post!

Oh Erica Melugin! Same here. I picked up some of y'all's language. Like Ian, and you. Believe me, I speak very open at times. I mean, you know me! So, the Lord convicted me, and I knew I had to post that up. We will both be working on it. This is an area where we all fail in. Because sometimes out of anger or just revenge, we speak things which we shouldn't. Be kind to your siblings. This is what I learned, "I try to speak and act with my siblings just as if they were, Geddy, Ian, and Camille!" Because, with them I was kind, and used sweet words (ya know). I will act that same with my siblings! Luv ya sweet girl!
